Cubs trade for Matt Stairs

This is a move that is hard to analyze until the Cubs finish the rest of their off-season moves.  Right now they don’t need a corner outfielder as they have Sammy Sosa and Rondell White.  Does this mean they are going to trade Sosa or White?  Can’t tell.  Maybe they just think they need a top-notch fourth outfielder since Rondell White gets hurt a lot.  Or maybe they'll could put Stairs at first base when Mark Grace leaves town.  If they don’t sign a free-agent first baseman, the last option is the most likely.  They traded for Stairs at the right time as they gave up very little for him as he had a down year.  He’s usually a good on base percentage guy with okay power. But we still need to see where he fits on this team.
